Honest Answers to the Most Common Concerns

Traffic Booster runs on the automated bidding infrastructure of Google, Meta and Microsoft, combined with our own AI layer: budget allocation, negative keyword management, cross-channel reallocation, and many more optimization actions we won’t list in full here. The point is that a lot is happening under the hood, not just the few items named above. You set a monthly budget and a target. Our AI decides where it goes.

What you do get: a dashboard showing spend by channel, clicks, conversions, revenue attributed, and ROAS. What you do not get: keyword-level bid editing or raw search term reports.

This is not just a trade-off, it is a lesson learned. When we used to let merchants control search terms directly, their manual changes routinely hurt the results. And a broken campaign is often much harder to fix than one that was simply kept on track from the start. So we keep that control where it performs best.

If you want to inspect and adjust search terms yourself, you want a Google Ads account you manage directly, or an agency that gives you account access. We are not that. But if you prioritize ROAS over control, this is the right place: we are the most advanced system of its kind in the market, 14 years running, with thousands of online stores that have grown, and some that were even acquired, thanks to what we do.

This comes up in older forum threads, so it deserves a real answer.

We do not buy low-quality traffic. It is not aligned with our business model, since we only grow when you grow. And besides Google, Meta, and Microsoft, we do not run on any third-party display or content networks. Every click comes from Google Search, Google Shopping, Performance Max, Google Discovery, Display, Gmail, YouTube, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads: Facebook, or Instagram. Those are the same auctions you would buy from directly. We are not an intermediary reselling traffic from anywhere else.

That said, invalid traffic exists on every ad platform, including when you run campaigns yourself. Google and Meta both filter it and issue credits for detected invalid clicks, and those credits flow back to your account inside StoreYa, not to us.

If your click volume ever looks inflated relative to engagement, contact support and we will analyze it directly. If the issue is a bug on the platform’s side (Google, Meta or Microsoft), reaching out lets us investigate what happened with our dedicated team at Google / Meta and secure compensation credited to your StoreYa account accordingly.

This is the sharpest criticism of any automated ad platform and it is worth taking seriously.

StoreYa’s goal is profitable business growth, so the system prioritizes new-customer acquisition first.

But reaching people already familiar with your brand still matters, and here is why. It teaches the algorithm exactly who buys your products: their demographics, their behavior, what they like. Once the system understands that buyer profile well, it can go find more people who match it, and nurture the ones who are close to buying so they convert next week instead of never. Retargeting and branded activity are not the goal, they are how the AI learns who to prospect for.

None of our accounts lean heavily on your own existing audience. That is not how the system is built, and you can confirm it directly in your own analytics when running with us. Look at the new versus returning customer split in your Shopify or store analytics before and after launch, and compare your branded search volume in Google Search Console against your paid branded spend. The picture will show prospecting, not recapture.

Expect a learning period. During it, results are volatile and often below your eventual average.

Here is what happens: the algorithms of Google, Meta and Microsoft need conversion data before they can bid efficiently. Until enough conversions accumulate, the system is buying information, not sales. This is true whether we run your account or you run it yourself. It is a property of the ad platforms, not of us. These platforms’ best practice is to run 90 days in order to get enough traffic for the optimization to be effective and get its target ROAS.

Merchants who cancel in the first two or three weeks almost always cancel during this phase, which means they paid the cost of learning and left before collecting the return.

A rough guide, though the real timeline varies a lot between different stores and different periods:

• Weeks 1 to 2: campaigns launch, data collection, unstable cost per acquisition
• Weeks 3 to 6: bidding stabilizes, early ROAS signal emerges
• Month 2 to 3: performance you can actually judge

• You are a marketer who prioritizes account control over results. If having your hands on every lever matters more to you than the outcome, you already know this will frustrate you. Better to know that going in.
• You want to inspect and adjust every keyword. See above. This is not the product for you.
• You can’t commit a real budget for a few months. Our basic plan starts at $180/month. If your store is new and you are not ready to put genuine effort into cracking ecommerce, StoreYa is probably not for you. We rely heavily on data and need a certain baseline to perform. We have taken plenty of new stores from $0 to millions, but every one of them put in serious work, time and money to make it happen.
• You prioritize how your ads look over what they deliver. The AI does not care whether an ad looks good, only whether it converts. We are happy to receive tailor-made ad assets from clients, and we encourage everyone to keep their store and social assets fresh (we have even built free tools to make that easier). But in the end, it does not matter if you spent $10k on a video: if it does not convert, the budget moves to an ad that does.
• Your store has a negative policy history with Google or Meta. In that case, contact us first so we can check whether we are able to support your store’s advertising or not. We report conversions using the attribution models of the ad platforms themselves, so the numbers you see in your Traffic Booster dashboard should reconcile with what we see on our end across Google Ads, Meta Ads and Google Analytics, and with the analytics of the ecommerce platform you use (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and others).
